Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kathleen M. Jacobs The idea for Honeysuckle Holiday has been germinating for at least the past ten years, and came from an encounter I remember having with the black lady who looked after me and my two sisters when we were very young. I had recited a "chant" to her that I had learned from my aunt, and I recall that afterwards, I felt an uncomfortable shiver run down my spine, but I didn't know why it scared me so.
