Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Manda Mellett I have absolutely no idea why Nijad popped into my head one day and began to talk to me. Either I was going to end up in a mental hospital or I was going to write his book. And Cara, well, she decided she'd be the ideal female foil for him. Then the idea of Amahad, a fictional Arab state came to me, as the setting - romance in the desert and all that. So there we were. Stolen Lives was born.

And, of course, Nijad has brothers and bodyguards, and each began to tell me their story. So the Blood Brothers series was born.

Currently I'm planning six books in the series, but there could be more as people introduced in one book seem to have a tale to tell of their own.

Sometimes I wish the voices in my head would shut up. But I also hope they never do!
