Goodreads asked Beverly Jenness:

How do you get inspired to write?

Beverly Jenness For me, that's like asking 'How do you get inspired to breathe'? I need no inspiration. I have always written, just never wrote a book. It was computers and the ability to manipulate documents that really got me writing. I had always stumbled when I wanted to move paragraphs or sentences around. Not being a fast or even a decent typist, the thought of retyping something because I didn't like the flow of a sentence/ paragraph stopped me dead in my tracks.
My penmanship, especially when I'm in a writing frenzy, is difficult if not impossible for someone else to decipher (or even me at times) so writing longhand, though much faster and fluid, wasn't something I wanted to do either.
