Sharon Watson asked Jeff Miller:

Hi! I was wondering if you use profanity in your books? I hate spending money on a book and then have to quit reading it because of so much profanity especially the F word. Your books do sound like they would be very interesting.

Jeff Miller Good question! When I was in second grade, my parents overheard another kid in my class swear. That night, they pulled me aside and talked to be about profanity. I decided right then that I would never use it, and have never uttered a swear word even through today, weird as that may be.

That said, most people in the world are not weird like me, and a book full of people like me would not be very much like the real world at all. Therefore, sometimes characters in my books do swear. It is not frequent. And whenever they swear, it is because I'm telling you something about their character. (There is one F-word in Borderline Insanity; eleven in The Bubble Gum Thief. None muttered by the protagonist, Dagny Gray).
