Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Edward Larel My most recent book (Children of Destiny) was actually split into 2 (Born of the Elements and The Highborn King) to give enough focus to the individual characters. The idea was that I wanted to expand on what made the characters who they are; to give each a chance to grow. Since Zen is the youngest of them, he needed more "air time." With the group all in a place now where they can face the challenges coming up, I can prepare to write (The Third War of Elements) starting in November (as usual, I'm beginning during NaNoWriMo).
