Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Amy Rivers Wallflower Blooming was inspired by a number of my own experiences. I've always been fascinated with politics and living in a small town gave me direct experience working with the local government. In fact, for a while, I ran an online news website and we did interviews for and coverage of the local commission elections. It was interesting to take a look at the way local politics differ from the national level - and how they are very similar.

AND, I'm an incurable romantic and I binge watch Pride & Prejudice. There, I said it.
