How do you get inspired to write?

Amanda Kozik The top three inspirations for me are dreams, songs, and random moments in every day life. A few of my stories have been loosely based on, or inspired by dreams I had. Sometimes I am listening to a song and I get an idea for a scene. Finally, when I am going about my day-to-day routine, sometimes I day dream of ways that my day would be more exciting--and sometimes those ideas that spring from those daydreams make it to the page.
