I get inspired to write by observing people in their natural habitats (!) and hearing snatches of conversations. I have a photographic memory (visual and auditory) so I can experience something and play it back in my head later. People are so amazingly truthful and colorful -- it's like being given an entire treasure chest of story ideas to play with!
