How do you get inspired to write?

Aimee Fuhrman I'll go for whole months without any desire to write, then some little thing will spark a new idea and I'm writing, writing, writing for several weeks. I can't say exactly what inspires me, but often I'll get an idea when watching movies. And it's really weird, because my ideas are totally unrelated to the movie I'm watching. But something about seeing a story fleshed out on screen can trigger a tumult of ideas in my brain.
