How do you get inspired to write?

Jesse Stoddard I get hit with ideas on a daily basis. I have found that if I don't write them down, they are lost forever. I also write stand-up comedy, and the same applies there. After awhile I have a ton of material and every time I look at it, I either get inspired to develop it further, or it gives me ideas for other things. Once you get the ball rolling, there tends to be a tidal way of enthusiasm and motivation to get you going. Then, it just becomes a question of follow through, which is the most challenging aspect.
