How do you get inspired to write?

Robert D. Oberst Most of the inspiration for writing comes oddly not from writing, but while walking, driving or doing other activities. There is an interplay between writing and the thoughts it inspires during those other times, as there is an interplay between the writing and the research. The writing leads to questions, which the research answers, which leads to the writing and more research etc.
