Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Justin Kenneth I really wanted to tell a story about loss and denial, and about what our minds can do after a tragedy. We keep with us not only the memory of loved ones, but also the tangible things that remind us of them, and sometimes it's enough to make us feel that they aren't really gone. Of course, I love cats and the joy they bring to our lives, and I wanted to highlight that in this novel.
