Hello, first of all I am currently reading the Riyria Series in the chronological order and I am enjoying them. Is there any talks into creating them in a TV show or a film? With being in the military and away from my family your books help pass the time. I am retiring from the military and wanted to see where can I get a book dedicated from you to culminate my enlistment? Thank you.

Hey Ricky, I'm glad you are enjoying the reads. We do have people working on media (television or movie) but we are no where close at this time. The few nibbles we have had int he past have dried up and gone away. Step #1 is getting the rights optioned, and we aren't even to that stage yet. Even after getting optioned only a very small number of projects are green lighted. So, it's not something to realistically expect.
Thanks for your service on the behalf of a grateful country. I love hearing from people in the military. I sell signed and dedicated books from my website so you can get them from there.
Thanks again for your service, for stopping by and asking questions, and for reading the book.

Hi Michael! I was wondering what are your thoughts on the idea of a Riyria animated series? Animation has developed so much as a form of storytelling since shows like Avatar the Last Airbender, Steven Universe, Castlevania, etc. Even though I can totally see Riyria play out as a live-action series, it would be so fun to see in animation! Have you ever considered pitching it for an animated adaptation as well?

A lot of writers think of writing as a job or a chore. I often wonder why they would write fiction if they thought of it as a job. There are other actual jobs that involve writing that they could take up because, in my opinion, when you write fiction, there's a lot more that goes into it than mere words. Do you think of it as a job as well? What would your opinion be on the same?
