What was your favorite book as a child? Has that book in any way influenced your writing today?

Michelle Cox Hi, J! Thanks for the question! My favorite book as a child was probably Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott, but I loved all of her books and read them many times. And has it influenced my writing? Definitely. First of all it made me fall in love with historical fiction even as it dealt with so many universal themes. The character of Jo, especially, is interesting because she embodies the plight of a woman who wanted both a husband and a family and desired to have something of her own, her writing. The prose is beautiful and touching, which I can only hope to imitate.
