Goodreads asked Jake Heilbrunn:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jake Heilbrunn While traveling in Central America, I had an experience where I visualized myself holding a book that I would write. The image was crystal clear, and while at the time the book was just an idea, it turned into a purpose-driven mission.

I started my travels from a low place--dealing with anxiety, depression, a chronic skin condition. I'd lost all my confidence and self-esteem and was beginning to feel hopeless. After taking the leap of faith to leave an unfulfilling path to pave a new one, my problems began to dissipate and I began to see the world in a new light.

The transformation I went through in just a few months - coupled with the powerful lessons I learned and the insights I was taking away - made me realize that I had to write this book. By sharing my story, I knew I could give readers the inspiration to acknowledge their own story and find the courage to pursue their dreams/passions.
