How do you get inspired to write?

amedeo lupi I live. Other than that, inspiration's a damn false idea - it's work more than inspiration that makes things happen. You have to force yourself to knuckledown and do a thing, no flashes of lightening and mysterious half-seen women walking across a room can take the place of that. If you see or hear a thing that puts a thought in your head, you have to go after it, and it's best not to wait for another one, because that may not come.
