How do you deal with writer’s block?

J. Lloyd Morgan How I handle writer’s block is one of two ways. First, if I’m stuck on a certain book, I’ll take a break from it and work on another one. Getting some distance and focusing on a different story can help clear up whatever I’m stuck on. Second, I’ll just write, something, anything, even if I’m not sure it will work in the book. The best ideas come to me while I’m in the act of writing. I can always go back and edit out what doesn’t work later.
