Hi Emily! I actually got my inspiration for Love, Lucas when I had an idea about a brother sending letters to his younger sister. I actually wrote every letter Lucas wrote to Oakley before I even wrote the book. I first called the book Letters From Lucas, but once I finished my manuscript, changed it to Love, Lucas. I've had a lot of family members that have suffered from cancer and that gave me the inspiration to have him suffer from it as well. There are so many hard things in life and I wanted to make sure people know that even though there are hard things, we can get through it. Never forgetting the hard thing, but deciding to be happy.

If so (and I hope so) what will the book be about? I hope there are more books about Oakly,Carson,and all the other characters in the near future.Your book Love,Lucas was amazing and so moving.
