Do your stories ever end the way you though you would or does it change throughout writing?

It changes ALL the time. More often than not I'm surprised how it ends, or where I find it turning. Keeps things interesting :) For example, I've known for about six years how the Soul Trilogy will end, but I wouldn't be surprised if it changed whilst actually writing it.
