Goodreads asked Catia M Rodrigues:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Catia M Rodrigues Ok, I really have to quote Meg Cabot for this one.
“Write the kind of story you would like to read. People will give you all sorts of advice about writing, but if you are not writing something you like, no one else will like it either.” ― Meg Cabot

Then grow a really really really tough skin to endure and overcome all the ordeals, criticisms and less pleasant feedback. It will be hard but so so worth it in the end.

After my experience with Dubhán Reborn, the key word is edit, edit, edit... You may have the most brilliant story to tell but if it's not edited and revised to exhaustion, it won't flow and the readers will just put it down.
