Aprille Legacy Hey! My advice is just to read and write as much as possible. Write even if it doesn't contribute to anything. Keeping a diary/journal is a great way to keep your skills sharp while developing new observational techniques.

And get out and experience the world! Travel is the best way to broaden your horizons. Get out there and soak up what our gorgeous planet has to offer :)
