Where did your inspiration come from for Christmas Joy? Do you know where you are headed before you start writing? I loved this book. I knew generally where it was headed but loved the journey. It has become one of the few books on my shelf that I will read again. Next Christmas for sure. I loved that it was set in NC.

Thanks so much for spending your time between the covers of Christmas Joy. I loved writing that book.

I'd set out to write the story about a big city gal rediscovering the beauty of the basic things in life when her aunt needs her...and being over the holidays made it fun for me. I love the holidays, and decorations ~ all the family tradition wrapped around Christmas. Interestingly enough the store became so much more with Molly who was an accidental add one morning that just seemed to work. I fell in love with Joy's relationship with Molly, and all of the fun they had with Ben. What a hero. A good man.

I've got another Christmas story coming out this October called Hope at Christmas. It's in a different town, but still North Carolina. Stay tuned!
