How do you get inspired to write?

Christine Rees Inspiration stems from everywhere and everything. Going on walks, the people you meet, listening to the sounds of the world - they all inspire something I attribute to my stories. I really get inspired while travelling and experiencing new cultures and environments. I feel more connected that way.

I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but listening to music ties the idea together. Different genres and songs elicit emotions. The stronger ones create a story in my head. Each song afterwards continues the storyline until I have a complete idea in mind. It's impossible to let that go, so I write what I envision.
