How do you get inspired to write?

Paul McCormack I'm not sure I'm inspired to write, it's more of a compulsion. I've got a million little ideas, thoughts, memories, conspiracies and odd whispers bouncing around in my head and at some point they kind of spill out onto paper. I've tried quitting a few times, but it's not something I can walk away from because that point of view and clutter is always there. Although if someone knows of a good medication for that, I'm all ears...
