The freedom to create your own worlds. I'm not talking about sci-fi, and I certainly don't mean any disrespect to those who pursue that genre. I like being able to take bits and pieces of my own life, and the glimmers of what I see in other lives, and manipulate those elements into a different perception, one that involves what maybe should have been and not what actually happened. We are all messy creatures, lumbering along and often failing, as humans do.
