Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson. Why? Because I discovered my first Sherlock Holmes book in a second-hand bookshop when I was 14 - and it set me off on a lifetime love of crime fiction. That's a love which encouraged me to launch my own crime series - the Crampton of the Chronicle mysteries.
