Ohh that's a tough one. I've read a lot of great books with great couples and characters. In the interest of answering this question, I'm going to stick with my fave author JR Ward. I'd have to say Vischious and Doc Jane from her black dagger series. Loved him solo and when Parker with the good Doc it was a match made in mutual respect. She wasn't a woe is me character which I loved. If you haven't read that series it's a must! (Especially if you're into paranormal)
