Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

S.W. Hubbard Great question that really made me think! As a mystery author who writes series fiction, I'm faced with the challenge of keeping up the tension between my couples without dragging out the "will they or won't they?' endlessly, which can become tiresome. One fictional couple that I admire is Dorothy L. Sayers's Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane because there is more than just sexual attraction between them--they genuinely like and respect each other, and they each bring strengths and weaknesses to their relationship. I hope I've managed to do the same with Audrey and Sean in my Palmyrton Estate Sale Mystery Series and with Frank and Penny in my Frank BennetT Adirondack Mystery Series.
