Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Bill Percy At this moment, my favorite fictional couple is Andi Pelton and Ed Northrup, primary characters in my novels "Climbing the Coliseum" and "Nobody's Safe Here." Why? Both are older, once-divorced, and leery. They love each other, having met later in life, but when Ed's desire to get closer (get married?) is hot, Andi's willingness cools. And then, vice versa. Each is searching into the deep and ancient reasons for this dance, but they're still dancing. I can't wait to see how they work it out!
