Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Adele Archer Well, I'm going to try to avoid the obvious (Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy, although I love them). So I'm going to say Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester. There's a whimsical humour within their relationship, as well as intensity. These old novels have it all sewn up as far as chemistry goes - sadly lacking in modern literature. But can I choose a movie couple too? Sally Albright and Harry Burns. Best movie couple ever. End of.
