Is it my imagination, or should there be five Chalion novels? I mean, The Curse of Chalion is the Daughter's book, Paladin of Souls is the Bastard's, The Hallowed Hunt is the Son's — the hardcovers are even bound in the gods' colours — so are there two more planned for the Father and the Mother? Somehow I picture a murder mystery and something set in a plague hospital.

At one time, I had plans in that direction, but the books seriously failed to materialize. Really, both gods ought to be fraught with possibilities, but neither seem to be speaking to me. No juice.
At the moment, I'm finding Penric and Desdemona's slightly more comic tone to be more congenial. And their shorter lengths way less daunting and exhausting.

Lois McMaster Bujold:
Hello. I'm a huge fan from France, both for your SciFi and fantasy works, and I wondered if there is a particular reason for your "Penric & Desdemona" series to not being translated yet in french ? I asked your publisher here several times and never been answered. Even if I could, of course, read these stories in english, it makes me sad and a bit angered that your french readers can't access them. Many thanks.

Love Your latest series of book, world of 5 gods. Going back and reading he orld of the Five Gods and keeping up with World of the Five Gods : Penric & Desdemona. You write so well. I wish I could write as well as you. Does your editor and friends help you as you write a book or when you finish? I have written a couple of books but that is far as it goes since I keep slipping into present tense from past tense.
