Hi Paul, i'm becoming a huge fan of you, already read A house full of ghosts and i'm currently reading Dissapearance at Devils Rock and i'm loving it, do you know a movie called Lake Mungo? it's an australian horror movie, the book really reminded me the movie, it has something to do with it?

Oh, I love Lake Mungo. It's one of my favorite movies of recent years (that and Take Shelter would make a good double bill). With DR, I definitely tried to play with a Mungo-ian vibe. I also got inspiration from two other Aussie films, Picnic at Hanging Rock and The Snowtown Murders, and a Joyce Carol Oates short story that started me on the path to becoming a reader and writer. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the rest of the book.

Hello! Just emerging, shaken, from The Cabin at the End of the World, and bought a couple more of your books. Thanks for the excellent writing! I hate ambiguous endings but found this one entirely justified. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the movie's divergence from the book's plot; from what online interviews I could find, you haven't said much about it? (It seems to me to be quite a different story!)

Check it out. I recommend Head Full of Ghosts as a book all teachers of tweens & teens should read. It gets something about kids this age that popped for me in a way nothing else has.
