    “روزی روزگاری پادشاهی بود که دختری داشت. پادشاه دخترش را در پرده نگه داشته بود و دختر حتا روی آفتاب را هم ندیده بود. فقط دایه اش را می دید و بس.
    یک روز داشت بازی می کرد، چیزی از دستش دررفت و شیشه ی پنجره شکست و چشم دختر به خورشید افتاد. برف تازه باریده بود و آفتاب هم بود. دختر دو پایش را کرد توی یک کفشش و به دایه اش گفت: "من آن چیز را می خواهم! باید آن را به من بدهی!"
    دختر خورشید را ندیده بود و نمی دانست که چیست. دایه اش گفت: " جانم! خورشید را نمی شود گرفت." دختر دست برنداشت و آخر سر دایه مجبور شد که او را بلند کند تا از پنجره به بیرون نگاه کند، شاید دست بردارد.
    دختر دید که برف باریده و روی برف هم دو تا پرنده نشسته اند و آنطرف تر دو قطره خون روی برف ریخته.
    یکی از پرنده ها به دیگری گفت: "خواهر! ببین توی دنیا چیزی زیباتر از برف و خون پیدا می شود؟" دیگری جواب داد: "چرا پیدا نمی شود! محمد گل بادام از هر چیزی زیباتر است.”
