“Hell spiders?” I queried confused.
“Yes, hell spiders…” he confirmed, keeping his eyes forward “practically a skull with legs. You can’t miss them. They spit acid now.”
I raised a brow, “The fact that you can say ‘they spit acid now’ so casually, boggles my mind.”

“My apologies that I didn’t make this place a walk in the park for you” he sarcastically said. “Maybe I should roll out the red carpet for you. Or actually reveal that there’s a first-class hidden elevator in the wall.”
“If I wanted your sarcasm, I would have asked for it!” I snapped back, “but I clearly didn’t! All I was saying is that I’m sick of this place and would like to move out soon!” I paused for a short moment, “though if you do have a secret elevator, I think I’m going to have to kill you.”
“Does it look like I have one?” he asked back while holding his hands out. Showing that he has nothing on him or anything up his sleeve. “Besides! We’re immortals!” he clarified, “we do not require such things when we can fly or teleport! We even have the capabilities to jump at remarkable heights!”
If that is the case, then we are just useless.
Exhaling out from having to listen to this, I leant my head into the palm of my hand. “Yeah, but each level is remarkably too tall to jump, and you and I can’t fly or teleport out of here.” I hung my head, allowing my hair to cover my face so he couldn’t see how defeated I felt. “I wish you did have a secret elevator hiding somewhere.”
Pursing his lips together he frowned displeased, and a little reluctant to agree “… yeah... me too.”

“The both of you seem way too calm about this” I pointed out on edge, “if it is one of the ‘failed experiments,’ then they are going to be a problem. A big problem! They’ll probably want to kill us! Or eat us! Or… I don’t even want to know what else they might do!”
“Relax” Yera spoke to me, his voice stern but he certainly wasn’t so concerned. “Nothing is definite as of yet. Besides, only one of our siblings had cannibalistic tendencies. So, the chances of crossing them aren’t that high.”
I stared in disbelief, with my frustrations flaring up on the inside. Not even pursing my lips together will stop me from bursting in this case. “I’m sorry. Where was the part that was meant to help make this whole situation sound less terrible?”
Yera blinked with wide eyes, followed by an expression that was caught off guard. “Was there meant to be one?” he looked to Leon hoping for some clue, but all he got from my friend was a dull unamused stare.
Seeing that his so-called ‘brother’ remained silent. Yera then looked at me, seeing if I’d give him an answer.
“Preferably yes!” I exclaimed.”

“Seriously Sate, you’ve already lived over countless centuries. Shouldn’t you be like… up to date with these things?”
“Do you honestly think I would keep ‘up to date’ with the activities of humans? A high majority of the human race sickens or bores me,” he grunted and ushered me to move on. “Not the mention they breed like rabbits.”
