“The Universe said, ‘Let me show
your soul something beautiful.”
― Elemental: The Power of Illuminated Love

“Three-Ring Circus by Stewart Stafford
First love's doubtless light,
Blinded with scorching might,
What little a cloudy eye allows,
Passion's seal on supple brows.
Resplendent in our united phase.
Love's incandesence in full blaze,
No one else existed, gazes locked,
Past emptiness, amnesia-blocked.
Now we pass on a muted, wintry street,
Joyless crime, sounds of splashing feet,
Pained awareness, eyes to the ground,
Mourners part bereft of sorrow's sound.

“The Bridge Between Worlds
by Stewart Stafford
Across broiling effervescence, she appeared,
Right arm reaching, left hand coyly upon the cheek,
Dead-eyed, dream-shawled — a familiar homunculus,
A jolting presence, as she was and always had been.
She bid me build a spanning structure, a portal,
A companion mortal bridge to the immortal plains.
“Living sentinels are forbidden from the afterlife!”
Europa disagreed, pleading I continue her mandate.
I began building, not knowing where the far side lay,
She said I would see it when all seemed impossible,
The rabid mob called me blasphemer, madman, wastrel!
They threatened to cast me from my own edifice.
Ambition’s load buckled; funds and favour fled,
As foretold, I witnessed the spirit land beyond,
Figures coming and going in distant, penetrable mist,
I died by exhaustion the moment the capstone was laid.

“So as to unveil a poem in its metaphysical matrix we need (how else could it be?) the entire cultural universe that transcendentally contains us.”

“Have you ever wondered what it would be like to paint the Creator, gazing into the eyes of the universe — infinite, both from outside and within?
Through the gravitational lens, in the need to capture the whole, I look; difficult to fix in images, harder still to translate into words — beyond the sensitive, I conceive it.
Despite its belonging to the past, freed from any servitude of being, the verse reveals the essence of things in the future. In search of grace, we are… like blood brothers, celebrating the Poem of nature — the same eternal moving point.”
― Ante Metafizica - Antologie lirica

“In a time of peace between science, philosophy, and pure art, entering in resonance with the sensitive thing — as rhythm and measure, the poetic universe takes as its innocent archetype its own Nature.”

“Sublimate
By the old solemn, opaque tree —
strangely blossomed with snow,
by its roots and branches supporting me —
my thought, barely risen into whiteness,
stood resigned, ready to fall.
By its branches and its roots —
by my thought strangely risen,
blossomed into the white of snow —
it leaned, it leaned resigned,
the old tree, ready to fall —
solemn and opaque,
illumined by my angel,
sublimated endlessly
into whiteness pure
as snow.”

“Before the Light
South of the Carpathians,
from the castle of eagles —
from the realm of melodious, fleeting syntax,
a Poet with green eyes deepened in forgetting
gently balances the scale of thought;
bearing the rediscovered face of reflection
from a life not yet lived,
imperceptibly wandering
through who knows what drawer
dusty with unknowing,
in the altar of white nights —
before the light
perpetually versified into the stone of eternity,
he propels vistas of unsuspected longing,
in rhythms of ancient asclepiads
blossoming the icon of the beloved woman.”

“Nurturing the hope that reading this volume might offer the reader a chance to acquire a more nuanced understanding of his existential role and place within the macro universe — in full harmony with his own cultural spiritual aspirations — in the light of material truth, permanently in a state of germination, an aesthetic feeling marks me and marks itself: celebrating the “cosmos” of my verse, with an emotional aura from beginning to end — the final interpreter will be able to fully decipher its meaning… essentially devoid of shadows:
Traveler of truth,
a veiled avatar of being
from star dust —
wrapped in azure — he uttered:
Who — what is the Great God?!
What is the All Being?...
immortal Spirit:
to You, eternal, I bow!,
Here and Now —
on the promised earth —
forever the poem of love
foundations its own Being,
Amen!”

“Considering my philosophical attempt around the knowledge that seeks to touch spiritual splendors and essences filled with naturalness and concreteness, through the lived experience of man as man: the poem thought tends to become a “sign” of the passage from the finite into the infinite, having its roots implanted in one’s own being.
Otherwise, the “insignia” were not born on barren ground, but rather through the being of poiematics and ideatics unfolded within the architectonics of this volume — bringing into discussion, ultimately, both the depths of the ring of the visible material world and the adventure of all knowledge, as an effect of the “high” ascent of consciousness, a form of reflection of micro and macro cosmic realities, implicitly of the intra mundane reality, while man himself, becoming aware of the cosmic Self, comes to define his own universal essences and valences.
Practically, the volume “Însemnele materiei” was intended to be a book of heart and soul for the contemporary reader and for the reader to come — a small lyrical treatise on being and becoming, with man and his needs for knowledge placed in the foreground, in accordance with the current level of understanding of the place he occupies in the Universe, with man as the “being” of universal becoming.”

“The fulfillment through “artistic ideals” has been and will remain throughout history a multidimensional and complex social phenomenon, and the formal constructions of expression — naturally shaped within the significant tree of memorable human experiences — have evolved exponentially, from one stage to another, tending to compress for the common benefit the most precious message “induced” to posterity: the assimilation of diversity.
It was fully plausible and even inevitable that — in the light of multiple scientific discoveries in its leading branches such as cybernetics and information technology, quantum nanotechnology, holography, and others long established in the background of everyday reality — artificial intelligence would also be consistently endowed de facto with the chance and capability to perform in the metabolization of cognitively creative activities, similar to human beings, including the autonomous conception of artistic tastes.
Yet, beyond certain notable achievements in training various forms of artificial intelligence to create “new styles of art” (through the generation of sounds, images, texts), there subsists a contingency that transcends finality. No matter how marvelous and seductive the artistic work thus conceived may appear — whether referring to musical pieces, paintings, or literary fictions — without in any way denying the unpredictable savor one may experience upon direct contact with such creations, as something unique and unusual, it is easy to understand that they will never possess the capacity to replace the state of spirit and emotion, nor the specific weight reflecting the physics of the human soul.”

“The void is not the nothingness / nor the uncreated, / [illustrious unknown] it is the single arché — / the silent sorcerer giving shape to immortality /through the secret moment with the fallen horizon. (Stanza 4 of the poem The Void Is Not the Nothingness)”

“Just as the ritual of life has materialized on earth since ancient times, persisting even today in the gentle light of the sun, the poetic expression establishes itself in our tangible world like a gentle sunray that confirms that the human destiny originated in the being. However, as one can notice, in the eternal corroborative kaleidoscope of existence, the contemporary society is nothing but the fruit of the creative power of the wise man that intensely investigates the direct reality, from one end to the other, to the most hidden details, and imagines it in its infinity, even if, ignoring the play with the nothingness and the barriers of the heart, today there is no doubt that the same reality is indefinitely broader than reason and than man’s illusory ambitions to truly appropriate the mysteries of the universe.
The rhetoric of my (purely metaphysical) verse does nothing but interrogate the vast universe of the human condition, consubstantially transposed by the instance of the poetic thought on the eternal winding path of the natural intramundane dimension.
From this (strictly literary) perspective, the sacred art of the noetic poetry resides inevitably in an honest attempt of the poet, essentially tributary through the same human limits, to succeed in somehow transcending his own shadow, even beyond the sublime rose of oblivion, to the point where the endless realm of eternity begins. (Poetic Argument)”

“Following the monumental creed of Parmenides, among gaps of time, the beings of the night are racing: the ephemerides; next to the flower of feeling brought as a gift to humanity by the swirling stars, under the halo of the noon, graying most of all my thoughts. And the angel of life, seduced by the fascination of the universal greatness, in the pupil of the cosmic eye irradiating with astonishment, caresses the wounds of heaven, the renascent second in the sunset, in a reflexive design unchaining the infinities between minus and plus, recovering the waking state… like our gentle Jesus.
The lights of the true man, sliding from the kingdom of eternity into the abyss of the ephemeral moment – in a moment of respiro, I’m decompressing the sidereal poem like a golden spiral risen in the torso of Divinity, a wing’s beat away from paradise, eternizing the magic of existence with the hypnotic perfume of a tiny iris.
Haloed with the nonchalance of the light beyond death, in the galactic trench that vaguely separates us, oh, you – dear reader!, held in the palm of the same echo of the star trembling, full of grace, from afar, what better hook than your soul fabulously emerged from a book? (Poetic Argument)”
― Le luci dell’uomo: lirica filosofica

“Looking at its portrait, somebody was observing that the image revealed itself in a flexible hypostasis of sensitive light and plenitude, a vivid and prosperous efflorescence of its interior seas in continuous movement, simultaneously generated by the spectrum of the alternative between an excess of beauty and purity; that the profound strata structure a singularity, a minuscule sphere whose mysterious kinetic resides in the fact that the precise universal, in a natural synthetic circumstance, aims at keeping its perpetual equilibrium between the distinct possibility, in the end, to finalize things and the flow of imagination in perfect accordance with the strict laws of gravity.
Looking at its portrait toward the infinitude, somebody was noticing that its image, in the state of graciousness, ready to turn into the very Spirit, was shading the quantum theory of gravity as an essential possibility of action to finalize things in the vastness of the eternal night; that the aura of the aura was waving through its own image like in a phantom game, from the infinite to the infinite, in the celestial spectrum of Vibration. “Life — / Truth or God, / movement from movement raised to the power of being; / adding — ever increasing at the roots — / the power of consciousness — / we have the very soul of the Universe; / the rest is nothing but illusion and vanity / of man (…) thirsting for eternity.
