You are absolutely right, they are very personal!
I’ve thought about downloading Obsidio on audiobook, but I prefer to have a whole series in the same medium.
I did hear they are really great audiobooks as you said!
Instead of a book, let me recommend a narrator and then you can go and peruse his work at your leisure: Simon Vance. He is, in my opinion, simply peerless in the field of audibook narration.

Some of my favorites are the Harry Potter series, read by Stephen Fry (on a higher speed), Simon vs, They both die at the end and I also loved the audio book for An American Marriage.
I've heard the audio books for the Illuminae Files and The Gentlemans Guide are also really good.
