My name is Lucee (pronounced Lucy), and I have been an avid reader my entire life! The first few series that sparked my interest in reading were an obscure series called Commander Kellie and the Superkids, as well as The 39 Clues, Emily Windsnap, and Philippa Fisher. Through my tween years, the series I loved the most were The Unwanteds, Keeper of the Lost Cities, Ever Afters, and the Kane Chronicles/Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Honestly, there are too many books and series to mention when it comes to those formative years.
The world of reading is vast, and my little Goodreads boat has kept me afloat since I created an account in January 2013 at the age of eleven. I don't remember what book I was looking up when I discovered Goodreads, but I've never looked back since that day. Complaints abound regarding how the site looks and functions, but it's always fulfilled my needs (although I wouldn't mind getting half-star ratings added sometime soon *wink wink*).
I don't know about anyone else, but my to-read shelf has never dipped lower than 200 books as far as I can remember, which is both encouraging and discouraging. Encouraging, because I know I'll never run out of books to interest me: discouraging because I also know I'll never be free of the TBR list.
Stories in any form hold a special place in my heart, whether through movies, TV series, Korean dramas, D&N campaigns, etc. Some of my favorites include Dune (2021), Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, I Am Mother, Emma (2020), Pride & Prejudice (2005), and How to Train Your Dragon. Korean dramas are a bit more niche, I'll admit, so kudos if you recognize any of these!: Itaewon Class, Goblin, Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Reply 1988, Yumi's Cells, etc....more
