I am looking for a heavily focused mafia story where every character is flawed but not unsufferable. I want it to feel gritty, darker, and if it has the found family trope, even better. I don't mind if romance is in it, but I'm tired of stories where the romance happens instantly and the book is mostly about smut. I want a book with a heavy plot about the mafia. I'm fine if the main character is an FMC or MMC, but I just crave that gritty mafia vibe. I gave Rina Kent's books a try, but grew tired of how they focused on the romance/toxic romance and not on the mafia....more
