My reading taste combines a love for timeless classics, historical narratives, and immersive fantasy with a growing interest in economics and the origins of modern thought. I’ve explored a wide range of literature—from the great novels of Dostoevsky, Cervantes, Austen, and Dumas, to fantasy worlds like Harry Potter, The Witcher, and Assassin’s Creed. I also enjoy historical and cultural works, from samurai traditions to Latin American and European literature. Recently, I’ve become especially drawn to books on economic history and classical economic theory, and I’m looking to deepen that interest with foundational works by Adam Smith, Keynes, Marx, Friedman, Mises, Ricardo, and Sowell. Overall, I enjoy books that broaden my understanding of the world—through story, history, or economic insight.
A bit about me: I’m Juan Fernández, 27, currently living in Colombia. I’m graduating from business school and aiming to pursue postgraduate studies in finance and economics. I’m deeply passionate about learning foreign languages, cultures, and customs, as I hope to become a global merchant and tradesman—someone who connects with the world through commerce, ideas, and meaningful exchange. Overall, I enjoy books that broaden my understanding of the world—through story, history, or economic insight.
