There's a shelf for my favorite books, songs I like include hymns, In Dreams, & though I don't listen to the whole musical (Thenariers gave me enough grief already), I enjoy Les Miserables<3
And I'm sorry if I'm harsh on the rating. I feel bad about criticising the words the authors put so much work, blood sweat and emotional investment into, but I also don't want readers to waste there time or happiness because I gave the wrong idea in areview.
RATING SYSTEM ⭐serious content concerns/do not recommend the time/engery ⭐⭐-alright, but I found content, messages, & or writing somewhat less than recommend worthy ⭐⭐⭐-good ⭐⭐⭐⭐ -uncommonly good, recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -great!
CONTENT I strive to always give heads up for -sex (on screen, mentioned, discussed or implied etc.) -Romantic touch (+how much) -Potentially gross medical descriptions (I'll hopefully give you enough info) -Potentially offensive language (I often don't mention replacement words; tbh I don't like it but often forget) -Alcohol, Drunkenness/substance use -Demons Black magic etc -Suicide or depression etc
I may sometimes forget so I'd recommend looking at other people's content reviews if you want. If there was anything that particularly concerned me, I'll put it at the top.
MESSAGES If I say ideas like "love–hope–belonging", it's probably safe to assume the book forwards those things. I try to mention negative messages too.
WRITING In here I'll drop thoughts in the writing/literary merit.

IMPORTANT NOTE I will be much more knittpicky about content & messages in stories I've labeled as for a younger audience. For example, I might mention throwing a toy going unpunished in a book for 5 years olds, but not in the adult genre. ...more
