“History of music is teeming with love songs, religious songs, patriotic songs, nowadays even conspiracy songs - then why is it that tolerance, oneness, plurality, humanity have practically zero musical exposure! But never mind, Naskar is here.
For a while now I've wanted to include songs in the canon, but the formatting of a song felt too mechanical, all that hook, bridge, verse, chorus stuff, until I realized, why not burn the format altogether, like I did with the sonnets, and write it like any other Naskar sonnet, only a little more lyrical than usual.
Besides, after thousands of sonnets, it'd be a shame if I didn't leave behind at least a few hundred songs. Any art that lifts the human spirit is Naskar art, every science that lifts up society is Naskar science.”
