Until I Die discussion

For some reason, my gut tells me that Kate could be a revenant. But not just A revenant; but THE revenant, the champion. Like Violet said, the time and place are right, and like Gaspard was saying, Kate should of lost her mind when Vincent took over her body to fight Lucian*. Also, anytime that Kate has been involved in a battle/fight, she's been involved in, she is always wanting to help whoever was fighting. Kinda like Jules was talking about in the book, where ALL the revenants felt a little suicidal when it came to helping/saving people. Also, how awesome would that be? Of course, I could totally be wrong, and Vincent could be the Champion, but still, I just think that it's something to consider......

i dunt think i know she is the champion its pretty obvious cause viloet(bad girl) captured vincent and said he is the champion since he killed the leader buh he was in kate's body so ye..n omg cant wait for the next book i want vincent to be alive he better not be dead n she better not pair up wid jules!

She has to be! It's the only logical thing I could think of. I actually thought that the book was going to end with Kate's death and her becoming a revenant. Then the next book would be about the consequences or something.

I think Kate could be the champion, it just seems like the best option.

I think Kate could be the Champion. Honestly, while i was reading the 2nd book, i thought that by the end Kate would have become a revenant too.. But obviously i was wrong. But i think it's possible that she could be the Champion.

I thought the same thing when i read Violets description on the Champion, i truthfully think its going to be her.

Agree. But doesn't that also imply that she will have to become a revenant before she can be declared as champion?

I agree with all you guys. I too think she is a champion. Can't wait for the last book!!! :)

There are so many points you could make about Kate being the Champion. I'll make a few of them:
1. She can tell who's numa and who isn't. Just saying, I don't think many humans can do that.
2. The Champion supposedly has great comunication skills or something to that affect; Kate can speak to Vincent when he's volant.
3. Her fighting skills are pretty good, considering she had never had previous training.
This is a theory I have about Kate being the Champion:
Her parents were Revenants, therefore making Kate and Georgia Revenants! And, therefore, making Kate illegible to be the Champion (though she could be it as a human)!
Can Revenants have kids? Might need to doublecheck that fact...

I don't know about Georgia being a Revenant, because she would have known that Lucian was one right? But it makes me wonder if that the theory of becoming a Revenant starts with having a certain gene is true....

I agree. I believe that Kate is The Champion. It is said who ever killed Lucien will be The Champion and technically, Kate did that. Plus, she is a natural fighter, has a gift to tell who is numa,even a as a human, and has some people skills with the reverent. So, yes, I think she's The Champion from the legend.

I think that it is possible for her to be it, and i hope so. I think and hope that Vicent comes back.

You know what I thought the same when in the book Violet said that the person who killed Lucien is the Champion I directly thought it was Kate. It is because she was the body that Vincent had entered. So it is completely possible. In my view. And as Amber said I desperately want Vincent to come back and that idiot Violet to die cause she made it on my most hated fictional characters list immediately.

The book titles are from Kate's POV..."Die For Me" (Vincent dies for Kate). "Until I Die", Kate herself said exactly this ,a few times in the book.

In "If I should Die", I'm sure there'd be some point when Kate would be wondering if she should die, probably to solve the problem at hand...with the benefit of not aging anymore. Or maybe Vincent is not gonna have a body anymore so she's also planning die and be with him in volant state. Who knows ^_^

But anyway, I can't see her as champion. She knows very little about revenant than a champion should.

Though only Amy Plum knows what would happen though now that I have thought about it I think she might be the Champion. Though my reasoning is poor.

so....vincent is on the verge of dying....
i have read UNTILL I DIE again and again to imagine how the story continues..
and i have been thinking if kate is the champion or she dies and becomes a revenant herself...there is also the guisseur GWENHELL and her son BRAN...
and moreover it was quite clear that JULES is inlove with KATE after the attack at JULES'S studio...so im guessing that vincent is dead and jules lures kate and they live happily ever after...
damn im ranting...a part of is in love with Jules and really will love a twist in the story and the other part doesnt want vincent to die, the gorgeous frenchman has had my heart since DIE FOR ME

Kate has to be the Champion because in until i die it says that the last person to kill the numa leader is the Champion, she was the one who psychically killed him even though Vincent was in her body she is the one who really killed him. I can't wait for the book to come out.

When the first mentioned The Champion my first thought was that that's Kate. It's almost always the girl when she's the protagonist ;)

Though I thought Until I die would end with Kate dying und becoming a revenant :-) Just now I am reading Die for her and then I'll read If I should die and then I will know it ;)

when I read the book I though Kate was the champion

I already finished the series so I know she in fact is the Campion but I knew she was the Campion the moment they explained what it was even though they were making it seem like Vincent was most like to be it and I was right.

I've been thinking this the whole time....at least that Kate is a revenant. She sees the auras around the revenants and can communicate with Vincent when he's volant. She HAS to be a revenant. I haven't read the third one yet though, I'm still on Die For Her.

I . Think kate is the champion. Vincent possessed her when she killed lucien, she was revenant ( at least for that moment).

I think it's Kate as well so obvious from the book 1 but I love these books so much though!!

To be honest yes. There is so many clues that lead to this conclusion. Like how she can hear Vincent when he is Volant. And how she didn't loose her mind when he took control of her body. Also...How she can see the Aura around the Numa?! This are all signs. So, yes I think she is a Reverent and she could be the Champion. If she isn't the Champion, I really think she is somehow a Reverent. She is going to die saving someone, and then BOOM She's a Reverent!!!!
