When will the next movie be out?

I just saw the movie for Beautiful Creatures and i loved it so much,i am currently reading the book and i have bought the rest of the series, the movie companion, and am probably going to go see the movie a few more times.Unfortunetly i just found out it did poor in the box office,so my question is will there be a movie for Beautiful Darkness?I mean they signed one for the first 3 movies so they cant back out right?Im pretty confused.

In all of book to film adaptation when did the film EVER go with what happens in the book 100%....yes a lot was changed from the book I still four d it to be an enchanting movie and ha I g just Reade the third book....I really hope they do continue UE with film adaptations. Besides the main cast has signed a 4 movie contract and with names like Jeremy irons, emma thompson, and Emmy rossum those are high level respected actors and they get paid every dime up front....the studio won't break those contracts it would be even more financial ruin....its about finding a good screen writer and a good director that can both work together with the authors to keep the film as true as possible...while working within the confines of time money and what the studio also wants done....I'd love to see them all on film....loved both the book and the movie I'm not easily emotionally pulled into and engaged in a love story on screen or in book and with both I was very much engaged.....stop being analretentive pricks...the first shining movie had less than nothing to do with the book but its one of the top rated movies in the country and even Stephen king himself says he hates what Kubrick did with his story

I have to let everyone know that this movie was the worst movie I have ever seen that is based off a book! They changed so many things that were not necessary. If they come out with a sequel they need to call it beautiful disaster! I sat through that movie in shock, how can they even say this was based off the book. Shame on them! The acting was poor the only shining spot was Emma Thompson. They deleted characters that I loved just to give the Hollywood "starlets" more lines, they wasted Jeremy Irons and made poor choices for The rest of the cast. I in no way left this movie loving it. I thought it was an absolute tragedy!!!

Yeah, with the way the movie ended, and with all the important things and people they left out, they kind of screwed themselves over for the rest of the series. I don't think the other three books would work as movies, not with that one as the starting point. :/ Honestly, if they do make Beautiful Darkness, it will be so far off base that it probably won't even be the same story anymore.

I really hope they make a sequel, though they definetely need to imprve some things. The movie ended in a really weird way, I'm just DYING to know what will come next, though I really think they should have stuck to the book more, the movie was like, something completely different, but I think it was okay, I don't understand why everyone calls it such a horrible movie.

I hope there will be another movie, the movie was very different from the book, but it was still a great movie! For those who say it was terrible, would you rather watch it or another cliché and predictable teen drama, with no new interesting aspects to the story line, world or characters? The movie was a really awesome movie on it's own, the way they ended it makes it seem as if they wont have another movie, another movie isn't needed. I was a bit judgemental when I first watched it, because of the cast chosen to play the roles, the characters left out, and the story adjustments and cuts made. But, letting go of all beliefs about how the movie should be allowed me to enjoy it for what it was, an interesting, funny, moving and visually dynamic cinematic experience!

So I watched the film before I read the series and I loved it. Although it's different than the book, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. It's kind of like how the first Twilight film wasn't as good as everyone wanted it to be, but the series took off anyway.

I can't wait to finish the book series and I hope they continue to make the films.

I just watched the film and thought it was really good considering they changed a few things, but when have any films ever been the same as the books they've been adapted from, the books were good the film was good, look how terrible the first film of twilight was, looking back on it now it was awful! And nothing like the book, now compare that to the last film of twilight that was good, like really good my favourite one, so they have a chance to make it better :) so I really think they should do another one and not everyone will like everything ever made so get over it :)

When will the next movie be out? HOPEFULLY NEVER!

totally agree. that movie was awful.

The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) has nothing listed in reference to a second film.

I enjoyed it because I thought the film was funny, granted I didn't think it followed the book too well but I laughed a lot and enjoyed it.

they probably wont make another movie cause they screwed the first one up so bad

I LOVED ALL THE BOOKS!!! But when I saw the movie I was so disapointed.... I really wish they would have thought it through before... Did they even read the books??? They left out a character that is really important in the future books!!!! AND!!!! They also put some things that were from the second book 'Beautiful Darkness' that really got everyone confused. My mother who was currently reading the book had to be explained to by me because she was confused as well. For the most part the acting and the graphics were overall well and hope that they figure this all out and pull it together but I DO NOT SEE ANY PLACE FOR THEM TO MAKE A SECOND MOVIE. Super mad at them, and I wish they would have listened to the authors more and and would of read ALL the books like they should of been placed. =(

Just because they signed for 3 movies doesn't mean they have to make ANY of them. Signing to make a movie is actually called "signing an option"<?>. And they're for a certain amount of time. A perfect example is about three years ago a studio bought a 10 year option for a City of Heroes movie. That means that nobody else can buy the "rights" to make the movie and the studio can do whatever they want with the movie including not making it or even selling the rest of their option to another studio. So they may or may not make the other two movies and base the decision on how the first one did.

I must agree. Although I did sort of like the movie as a movie, I must disagree on the comment that this is the worst interpretation of a book ever. That award would go to Queen of the Damned. I refused to watch it for 10 years because it was an abomination. Now I like it as a movie, but not based on the genius that is Anne Rice.
Getting back to the point, I hate that there was no mention of the Incubus line. You couldn't get two minutes into a sequel without some explanation of an Incubus, including the fact that Macon was one. Hello? John Breed? Hunting? Then Link? But no, Ethan didn't date Savannah, he dated Emily. There's a line somewhere in Beautiful Creatures about the only reason that he dated Emily was because she was the second most popular girl in school. Macon was also never THAT mean. He discouraged the union, but understood that he was connected to Lena in ways a normal mortal wouldn't be and then stopped protesting and instead, encouraged them. They didn't talk about Macon feeding on Ethan's dreams, there was hardly any talk of how weird his dad was, Ridley never broke out a lollipop (which I was completely enraged about), but the worst thing that didn't happen was completely disregarding Macon's dog, Boo. Boo is BEYOND key to this story.
Ugh, now I'm annoyed. Beautiful Chaos time.

I literally finished watching the movie like 5 minutes ago, and I gotta say I'm seriously disappointed. I know the book is almost always better than the movie but it was Soo far off. I didn't go into it with high expectations but in the beginning I thought I might have been wrong. For me to like or even be able to tolerate this movie there needs to be second movie. At the end I was like, "I have to read the books because I stopped after like 1 and a half and am totally lost, as to whether or not that happened in the book or if it's Hollywood's own creation" I mean what was up with the ending I was P.O.ed because how can you leave a movie at a point like that. I get that it didn't do great in the box office but its not gonna get any better by leaving it like that, there is like 4 books you can't stop after 1, I can see if you summed up all of the books into one but that obviously isn't the case.

I seen the movie and liked it... But i have to say this in order to make the movie more successful they could have added merchandise like shirts, soundtracks that sorta thing to increase sales not just the movie.

you have to blame the advertising their wasn't enough to draw people into it. and the fact that the authors of the series probably didn't expect their first movie to bomb the way it did either.

some might agree and others can disagree but this is just my opinion.

Yeah I thought that IF they do a sequel movie, they need do combine Beautiful Darkness and Beautiful,Chaos because I wasn't a fan,of the second book. That third book was,on point, though!

i love this movie i read all the books in a month so i will be so pissed off if they dont make all off them into a movie im watching it right now as im righting this i bought the movie on dvd

IF THEY MAKE ANOTHER MOVIE I MIGHT HAVE TO GO KILL WHOEVERS IDEA IT WAS!!! I WILL REFUSE TO WATCH THE TRAILERS AND I WILL...DO SOMETHING ELSE BECAUSE I HATED THAT MOVIE SO MUCH!!!

I Have read all the books from the beautiful creatures series why do they change the story so much ,ama isn,t the guardian of the books ,she is the housekeeper, although she can contact her dead relations like uncle abner and riley is a redheaded bubble gum chewing teen vamp.. i do hope if they make a 2nd film it follows the book,as they won,t be able to continue to the 3/4 and the 4 book is the one that puts it all together, why start something when the screen writer director or studio had not a clue as to what the books where about..... such a shame as the books are brilliant.........

Underlying themes of incest and possibly statutory rape due to the lead male actor being 40 years old. On top of this, the graphics were terrible and the acting even worse. I give it a 2/10, only because the hot psycho from veronica mars is in it.

by what i've heard they took out marian and ethan's mother death AND THEY ARE VERY IMPORTANT at least for the second book so i don't know if they can do a second one -.-

i don't think there will be because i'm not sure how you can continue the movie after the way it ended and because the it was changed so much and the endings are completely different i don't see how they can continue

I hope another production house buys the rights from the makers of the film and they remake it just to put in the details they lacked in the film. I still have to go watch the movie, but after reading how everyone is upset at the fact that the film is not too closely related to the book I am not going with a high expectation!! :D

Is there gonna be another movie? I doubt that.

I haven't read Beautiful Drakness yet but with the way they ended the movie I'm not sure they'll be able to do another one, they'll have to rack their brains and get headaches and everything ya know?

It did pretty poorly at the box office (though I thought it was good, I didn't read the book yet, though I did know it had a different ending) so I doubt they would make a sequel. It wouldn't be worth it financially.

They will make another one. I saw the result.

For the first 20 or so minutes in the movie, i thought, "Wow, this might not be as good as i thought." But, i will have to say, as the movie went on i thought it got better and better until i loved it. :) I think it would be such a dissappointment if they didn't continue to finish out the series in the movies. I would go see all of them if they did (and they hopefully will), and i think they did leave some room to make other movies, considering the very ending.
Plus, they cut out quite a few characters but left Larkin in, which he would have been a pointless character since he didn't show his true colors in the movie, so that must mean that they plan on making a sequel and giving him a purpose for even including him in the movie since they cut out other important characters.

"This is my opinion and my feelings about the movie and the book." Before I knew about the books I watched the movie. To me the movie was good and when the ending came about I was like "OMG! He's going to leave forgetting her!", but when he passed the country line and he yelled her name (Lena) I was like "YES! He remembered!" That ending made me really love the movie. Now i'm reading the book 'Beautiful Creatures'. The movie and the book are REALLY different, somethings missing and something added, but I have never seen a movie or TV show that goes fully off the books(Characters or plots). Take The Vampire Diaries for example. In the TV show there are changes (big or maybe not big as Beautiful Creatures), but the fans of the novel still love the TV show even with the changes. To me even if the movie or movies are completely different from the book or books I still love them... To me the movies was good, and I was happy to see it, and if they make the sequel to the movie/book 'Beautiful Darkness' I would watch it without a second thought. I watch the movies for the characters not the acting or the actors, and I don't see plot as a plot but the experiences or life the character goes to get to a better place. My opinion of the movie is "The movie was really good and loved it from the Beginning to End even with the changes of the characters, left out characters, and added plots.

I'd hate to say it, but a sequel isn't going to happen. The movie didn't make enough money and when it comes down to it, that's how the movie execs decide.

I think they'll probably make Beautiful Darkness as a movie. Only because the movie did very well in the Box Office, making over $50,000,000 on opening night and then some afterwards. The directors and producers don't care about the critical response usually, only what they got for money, because they need to pay the actors and stuff like that. If it does well enough in the Box Office, they'll make another movie. Just look @ Percy Jackson & the Olympians. They're making a movie out of The Sea of Monsters, even though they did a terrible job with the first one and making a second one still. So it is very likely they'll make a Beautiful Darkness in the next year or two. I loved the movie anyway, though

According to Boxofficemojo.com, the movie cost $60 million to make but has only earned $58 million overall. They may manage to break even once it comes out on dvd. With those kinds of numbers, a sequel seems a bit doubtful.

There will probably be another movie. I was really surprised, normally the people who cast the actors find people completly different than they are in the book, but Beautiful Creatures matched the charachters perfecrly. Except for Amma, but I like her better in the movie. I didn't actully get to see the movie, but read all of the books and hope to see the movie soon. I read a recap, and it sounds a little different, but all the same good and left on a major cliff hanger.

This movie would've been good if it wasn't beautiful creatures. Before the movie even came out the fans knew that they changed so much about the story. They changed key things that made the book a goodread. Theres no way USA going to make a second movie....but I think someone else should adapt the novel. Maybe the U.K. I didn't like the movie at all.... I was shaking my head the entire film. Why did they make Emma Marian? That makes no sense. I bet cha if Marian was in the movie , it would have made a few more million. So far most I seen a lot of people talking about Marian on movies forums. Marian was a character that ever body who read the novel liked. They made a lot of stupid changes that made the fans not care. They should make this series as a anime series or make more graphic novels for it. If you watched the movie and liked it but never read the book... you might change your mind about the film after you read the novel.

BUT.... They left the ending hanging WIDE OPEN!!!

Once you read the book you'll see how horrible the movie was compared... hopefully they don't make a second one... also they didnt leave much room for a second one though..

I read all of the books in the Caster Chronicle series and I fell in love! I was counting down the days until the release date of Beautiful Creatures and was really disappointed when i saw it! The director took out half of the book and changed the other half! WHAT THE HECK?!?! I could have made a better movie then that! I am really hoping that Beautiful Darkness will be better and might actually be based on the book! Oh, well! All we can do is wait.
