Wild Things: YA Grown-Up discussion

August 2013: American Adventure Month- Read a juvenile fiction, middle grade, or young adult novel where the main character goes on adventure somewhere in America.

Soo..it has to be fiction? How about a little juv historical non-fiction like Chasing Lincoln's Killer by James L. Swanson?

No, it does not have to be fiction. It just needs to have an American adventure and be classified as Juvenile/MG/YA.

Some of these are unconventional adventures, but I'd say adventures nonetheless!

The one that came right to mind when this theme won was The Incredible Journey. Also, many of Gary Paulsen's books are American
adventures.
