Something Borrowed tells the story of Rachel, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan. This is a read for me :) I read it a few years ago and flew through it. It was a cute entertaining summer read and the movie was pretty good too. So far, the second time around is less entertaining and the characters are more annoying. Like Darcy ... she is SO selfish and everyone lets her treat her friends and family so badly!! And Rachel ... she is SUCH A DOORMAT! Get a backbone! She's let Darcy treat her this way for how long? And she just bottles it up, no wonder she (view spoiler)[explodes at the end of this book. (hide spoiler)]. It is such an unhealthy relationship. I didn't pick up on any of the "unhealthy-ness" the first time. It's almost verbal abuse! Manipulation, at least!

(view spoiler)[I found the ending where Rachel describes finding happiness being an independent woman irrelevant to the whole story. She NEEDED Dex to be happy... Anyway, I'm glad she cut Darcy out of her life. I find it unrealistic that Dex didn't know how nasty Darcy could be. Like being with her for many years you'd reckon he would know she was self-centered. (hide spoiler)]

Nope, haven't seen the movie, Danielle. By the looks of the trailer though, it looks like they made Ethan more of a main character than in the book.
