Something Borrowed tells the story of Rachel, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan. Rachel has always been the consummate good girl---until her thirtieth birthday, when her best friend, Darcy, throws her a party. That night, after too many drinks, Rachel ends up in bed with Darcy's fiancé. Although she wakes up determined to put the one-night fling behind her, Rachel is horrified to discover that she has genuine feelings for the one guy she should run from. As the September wedding date nears, Rachel knows she has to make a choice. In doing so, she discovers that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk all to win true happiness. Something Borrowed is a phenomenal debut novel that will have you laughing, crying, and calling your best friend.

This is a read for me :) I read it a few years ago and flew through it. It was a cute entertaining summer read and the movie was pretty good too. So far, the second time around is less entertaining and the characters are more annoying. Like Darcy ... she is SO selfish and everyone lets her treat her friends and family so badly!! And Rachel ... she is SUCH A DOORMAT! Get a backbone! She's let Darcy treat her this way for how long? And she just bottles it up, no wonder she (view spoiler). It is such an unhealthy relationship. I didn't pick up on any of the "unhealthy-ness" the first time. It's almost verbal abuse! Manipulation, at least!

It really is!! I didn't really realize how bad it was until my second go round.
Nope, haven't seen the movie, Danielle. By the looks of the trailer though, it looks like they made Ethan more of a main character than in the book.

Starting a little late. I'm already halfway through this though. It's kinda hard to put down.
Pg 100. I like Ethan. He is non-judgmental.

Pg. 202 I really don't know what to think. Rachel needs to grow some and just ask Dex!! Stop wasting your time guessing. He sounds like a douch.. And what is the real deal with Marcus?
