I just finished Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black and absolutely loved it! Check out my review at Darkest Part of the Forest http://mrsthomas715.blogspot.com/2016...
Favorite YA: Dumplin' by Julie MurphyFavorite adult: The Readers of Broken Wagon Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald
Favorite audio: Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates
I've readFlora & Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo
A Night Divided by Jennifer Nielsen
Amulet: The Stonekeeper (book 1) by Kazu Kabuishi
The Tapper Twins Tear Up New York by Geoff Rodkey
How's It Going? Conferring with Student Writers by Carl Anderson
Confetti Girl by Diana Lopez
I Survived the Japanese Tsunami by Lauren Tarshis
The Million Dollar Goal by Dan Gutman
and last week, I started reading Anna Karenina (Tolstoy)
Most of these are middle-grade fiction. It's hard to compare different genres to come up with a favorite, but I really enjoyed The Tapper Twins (fantastically funny), and A Night Divided (serious, reflective historical fiction).

Such a great author. :)
My favorites so far are all part of the Finishing School Series by Gail Carriger. Etiquette and Espionage
Curtsies and Conspiracies
Waistcoats and Weaponry
Manners and Mutiny
So much fun!
Laura :)
I have read - all were good and a few were great! Between the World and Me (adult)
Orbiting Jupiter (YA)
Connect the Stars (MG)
Northward to the Moon (MG)
Under a Painted Sky (YA/MG)
Just finishing My One Hundred Adventures which is the book before Northward to the Moon - Polly Hovarth
I read mostly YA and Juvenile Fiction this January....I finished Everything, Everything, Circus Mirandus, Lost in the Sun, and Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
I love realistic although I do enjoy fantasy. I can't choose a favorite because all of them were good in their own way. I will say Everything, Everything left me feeling so many different emotions. It's a book that will stick with me for a while! However, Edward may be on my all time top ten!
