Pierre Normand | 2 comments It depends on what you want to read about. If you just want to know more about the philosophy and symbolism of the Rite, you need the Scottish Rite Ritual Monitor & Guide, published by the Mother Supreme Council at Washington, DC. If you want to know more about the history of the Supreme Council, I'd recommend Lodge of the Double-Headed Eagle, by William L. Fox. If you want to read and understand the book Morals and Dogma of the A. & A. Scottish Rite, then you should get the annotated version, titled Albert Pike's Morals and Dogma – Annotated Edition. If your focus is the three craft lodge degrees, find the book titled Symbolism of the Blue Degrees of Freemasonry: Albert Pike's Esoterika, published by the Scottish Rite Research Society in 2005.
