District Twelve is one of the poorer districts of Panem. They specialize in coal mining. Most people go to work in the mines at the age of fifteen to sixteen. Only men and boys are permitted to work in the mines, it's just too dangerous for women and girls. District Twelve is one of the rebellious districts.

Some jobs offered here are:
-Coal miner
-Geologist
-Blaster
-Surveyor
-Metallurgist
