Cassandra literally had just been playing old newspapers through the projector, reading up on some of the history about the school and when it was first built and all that jazz. She had come here with and for Nora, but now that she was here, she might as well learn as much as she could, right? She figured that was the way to best get the two of them out of here alive, but believe or not, she was enjoying the things she read. She was both pleased and surprised with herself for that. For someone so pessimistic about the Gauntlet, she was actually enjoying reading about it? Crazy.

But hey, all good things had to come to an end, right? As she was flipping through folders and books, a boy knocked on the door -- and why did he even knock if he was just going to come in anyways -- and made himself at home. "I'm not studying, so you're not going to learn anything here. So, no, you may not. Please leave." she looked back down to the folders, picking up exactly where she had left off. Cassie felt a little bit rude, but with the day she had been having, she did not want to look at another boy for the rest of the week. Or the month even. They were all just nasty at this place, she had yet to find one to be agreeable.

"If you were going to ignore my opinion, why even ask?" she threw at him, annoyed after looking up from her book to seeing him remove his jacket -- obviously he didn't plan on leaving, much to her irritation. Cassandra was honestly sick of the boys around this school, she had yet to meet one that didn't call her honey, talk down to her, shove her, or reference/offer sex. She didn't have anger issues necessarily, but this school was bringing out the fire inside of her, and if Cassie wasn't so sure Victor would like it, she would manhandle him like she had Mitch, just to get her to leave her alone. He'd probably misinterpret it as an offer for a handjob, though, instead of a promise for sterilization.

Cassie looked up at the wall in front of her when Victor pressed his chest into her back, leaning over her shoulder to read her book. She was going to scream. Instead, she took a deep breath and looked back down at her book. She wasn't reading anything but the same sentence over and over again, but she was significantly less irritable when he wasn't pressing into her. "Most people observe basic human decency upon meeting others in public settings." she shot back, working hard not to snatch her folders from out of his hand. "And you assume incorrectly, Victor." What a pretentious name.
